easy recipe card holder

Here is the direct link for: Easy Recipe Card Holder.

When I originally pinned this I thought it a clever idea and would make a great wedding shower gift.

This pin comes from the blog, Make and Takes. Of course, the jumbo-sized clothespin the blog used in their tutorial is no where to be found, unless you buy a 100 of them with your company logo printed on them. I did eventually find this jumbo 6-inch clothespin at JoAnn's mega store. It isn't as hefty as the the blog's, but it will do the job.

I am not a stamp book person, so I didn't add all the 'fluff' to my recipe holder like they did. I kept it pretty simply decorated. Most of the stamp booking papers are reversible with two coordinating prints, thus I got two images to play with - a front and a backside.

While searching the internet, I found a whole bunch of free downloadable recipe card templates. My favorite are these Keepsake Recipe Cards from Martha Stewart. In addition, I found this cute blog, Skip to My Lou, with a fun recipe card maker that creates a card with the actual recipe typed on it, see below. You have the option to print the card in two sizes: 3 x 5 and 4 x 6. For fun, I entered my all-time favorite chicken salad recipe. I get LOTS of requests for this recipe. Enjoy!

The red pin award for I sure had fun playing with this one!

Happy pinning!

  1. I have seen the recipe card holder in i-phone stands also, and would love to make some of these for my peeps to use on their desk for reminder notes.
